REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANJARMASIN -- Head of the Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Ministry of Religious Affairs) of South Kalimantan Muhammad Tambrin delivered the Hajj Embarkation to Banjarmasin It began to be launched on May 12, 2024.

According to him, the first kloter of the Banjarmasin Embarkation from Syamsudin Noor Airport is scheduled alongside the first wave of national Hajj departures on May 12, 2024 to the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia.

“So the schedule is on May 11, 2024, the first Banjarmasin Embarkation pilgrim kloter has entered the Hajj hostel,” he said in Banjarmasin on Friday (19/4/2024).

He said the first pilgrims clocked 320 people and planned to use Indonesia's Airbus 330 Garuda aircraft directly to Medina, Saudi Arabia. The Banjarmasin Embarkation will deliver as many as 19 klots during this year's Hajj season. They come from two provinces, namely South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.

“The total number of pilgrims who were sent was 5,759 people,” he said.

He detailed the Hajj pilgrims from South Kalimantan of 4,071 people and the Hajj from Central Kalimantan of 1,688 people. Tambrin said that he continues to prepare the operation for the departure of Hajj pilgrims by coordinating with various relevant parties, such as the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Kalsel, the Department of Health, Balai Karantina Class I Banjarmasin, Kemenkumham Kalsel, Immigration Kalsel, Customs of Kalsel, Garuda Indonesia, Gapura Angkasa, Angkasa Pura, and UPT Asrama Haji.

“Currently also an ongoing stage is the completion of Hajj pilgrim documents for the visa process,” he said.

Tambrin also appealed to the people to pray for a smooth Hajj in 1445 Hijriyah/2024. “For pilgrims, take care of health by diligently exercising light exercise and maintaining a healthy diet,” he said.
